Rick Meyer

LPL Financial Advisor

Rick began his career as a CPA, but moved to financial advising over 30 years ago. While a CPA, Rick always had a passion for financial markets and investing. Originally a partner with his father in Meyer and Meyer Accounting until 1983, when he left to join previous broker dealer KMS Financial Services, Inc. as a registered rep. A rock no matter what the markets throws his way, he has seen clients through some of the greatest bull markets in history, while also acting as a trusted advisor in tumultuous markets. Rick has counseled clients through the full arch of saving, investing and retiring. He proudly states that he doesn’t plan to retire because many of his clients are life-long friends.

Rick has always placed giving back as a high priority in his life. He was president of Tournament Golf Foundation, Inc., which owns and operates the LPGA golf tournament in Portland, for five years, and was a member for nearly forty. During his tenure, TGF donated millions of dollars to local charities, focused on children and families. He also served on an advisory committee within KMS, benefitting the firm and other reps. As a former sprinter on the University of Oregon track team, he always enjoyed coaching and supporting local youth athletes in our community.

Rick still makes it out to the golf course at least once a week during spring, summer and fall, but spends most of his time travelling around the community supporting his grandchildren in whatever sports, plays, or school productions they are currently involved with.
